JEGI LEONIS seeks Summer Analysts to join its Advisory team in New York, NY for the 2027 Summer Analyst Program.

The JEGI LEONIS Summer Program:

Our Summer Analyst Program is a fully immersive introduction to M&A advisory, designed to develop technical skills while embedding interns into the culture and fabric of the firm. Beyond live deal exposure, the program is built around structured learning, mentorship, and connectivity across every level of the organization. Program highlights include:

• Internal training:Summer Analysts will receive one week of internal training at the start of the summer, covering financial modeling, valuation, industry frameworks, and firm processes to build a strong technical foundation before joining deal teams.
• Sector Lunch & Learns: Summer Analysts will attend sessions throughout the summer, giving interns direct insight into each of the firm’s coverage verticals from the senior bankers who lead them.
• Social Programming: The Firm hosts a variety of internal and external social events throughout the program, fostering camaraderie among the intern class and the broader team.
• Buddy Program: Formalized mentorshipprogram that pairs each intern with a junior and senior member of the team to enhance connectivity across the firm and support a smooth, well-guided experience.
• Internal and External Exposure: Summer Analysts will have countless opportunities and immense exposureto senior stakeholders and clients alike, ensuring interns build meaningful relationships and gain visibility into how the firm operates and wins.

Primary Responsibilities:

Summer Analysts at JEGI LEONIS work alongside deal teams and gain hands-on experience supporting the execution of M&A and capital advisory transactions. Under the mentorship of experienced bankers, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Supporting the development and maintenance of financial models, including valuation analyses such as comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, and discounted cash flow models.
• Assisting in the preparation of client materials, including information memoranda, management presentations, board materials, and new business pitch presentations.
• Conducting industry and market research, including analyzing industry trends, competitive positioning, and strategic developments across relevant sectors.
• Contributing to transaction execution, including supporting due diligence processes and preparing financial and operational analyses.
• Analyzing company financial statements and operating metrics to evaluate strategic opportunities and transaction outcomes.
• Working closely with senior team members to support the development of strategic recommendations and advisory solutions for clients.

Specific Qualifications:

Candidates should possess strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and a demonstrated interest in investment banking and M&A advisory.

Summer Analysts are expected to quickly absorb core skills from experienced mentors while contributing to research, analysis, and the preparation of client deliverables within a collaborative team environment.

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, with an expected graduation year of 2028 or 2029
• Coursework in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field preferred – all majors encouraged to apply
• Prior internship or relevant work experience preferred
• Strong academic track record
• Emerging financial modeling and analytical skills
• A foundational understanding of financial statements and valuation methodologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High level of attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office tools
• Applicants must have the legal right to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship
• Applicants must be able to work five days a week in the New York City office

Compensation:

Compensation for the Summer Analyst Program is annualized and prorated at $90,000.
