Job summary

The Los Angeles Dodgers LLC invites applications for a Summer Analyst in the Quantitative Analysis department in Los Angeles, CA. This is a part-time, three-month internship with start and end dates aligned to the academic calendar.

Qualifications

• Must be a rising sophomore, junior, or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree OR are currently enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated experience building and evaluating predictive models.
• Strong coding skills in Python (preferred) or R.
• Ability to communicate technical results to non-technical audiences.
• Availability to live and work in Los Angeles for the duration of your internship.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

Pay Rate: $23.00/hour

Reports to: Director, Quantitative Analysis

Location: Los Angeles, California

The Los Angeles Dodgers Quantitative Analysis team is responsible for using data to enhance decision-making throughout Baseball Operations. They design, implement, and maintain the models used to inform decisions about player personnel, player development, and on-field strategy. Candidates providing evidence of skills such as a personal GitHub page or example of research will be given highest consideration.

Basic Requirements/Qualifications:

• Experience working with time-series, image, or video data
