TrueBridge’s Summer Analyst Program is a highly selective 10-week internship for rising seniors who want a real seat at the table in venture capital. Summer Analysts join our investment team in Chapel Hill and work on live opportunities across our fund, direct, and secondary strategies, contributing analysis that informs actual investment decisions.

Ideal candidates have a minimum 3.5 GPA, an interest in VC and technology, strong financial skills, and proficiency with Excel and AI-native tools.

• Minimum GPA 3.5 and rising junior/senior.
• Interest in venture capital and technology via internships or coursework.
• Strong financial and analytical skills; Excel proficiency and familiarity with AI tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently and in teams; entrepreneurial mindset.
• U.S. work authorization and willingness to relocate to Raleigh/Chapel Hill for summer.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate prospective fund, direct, and secondary investments.
• Build financial models and benchmarking analyses used to assess returns and risk.
• Prepare investment memos and summaries for the investment committee.
• Track the performance of existing fund and direct investments.
• Build and maintain proprietary data on transactions, valuations and the venture market.
• Use AI-native tools to speed up research and analysis.

• Real responsibility from day one. On a small, collaborative team, Summer Analysts own meaningful workstreams, sit in on investment team meetings, and see how investment decisions are made.

Key Responsibilities

Investment Analysis

• Evaluate prospective fund, direct, and secondary investments through manager, company, and performance analysis and modeling
• Build financial models and benchmarking analyses used to assess returns, risk and portfolio construction
• Help prepare investment memos and one-page summaries that communicate recommendations to the investment committee

Portfolio Monitoring

• Track the performance of existing fund and direct investments and support portfolio monitoring analysis
• Build and maintain TrueBridge's proprietary data on transactions, valuations and the venture market

Market Research

• Research companies, managers, sectors and new technology themes (e.g. AI Infra, App, Deep Tech) and share what you find with the investment team
• Use AI-native tools to speed up research and analysis
• Take on projects across the investment team, including work on the Forbes Midas List and Next Billion-Dollar Startups

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• A strong academic record (minimum GPA of 3.5) as a rising junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree
• Demonstrated interest in venture capital and technology through internships, coursework, or extracurriculars in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or investment management
• Strong financial and analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel and AI-native tools; prior financial modeling experience preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A self-starter attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a passion for technology and investing
• U.S. work authorization and current residency in, or willingness to relocate to, the Raleigh/Chapel Hill area for the summer
