Job summary

MKS Inc. invites a Product Environmental Compliance intern to join the Global Product Compliance team. The role focuses on evaluating products for environmental compliance across international regulations and delivering product declarations.

You will report to the Director Operations, Compliance and contribute to timely attestations and supplier communications. Ideal candidates bring attention to detail, familiarity with Excel/Word/Adobe Acrobat, and a proactive desire to learn about RoHS/REACH

A Day In Your Life At MKS

As a Product Environmental Compliance intern at MKS Inc., you will partner with the Global Product Compliance team to evaluate products for environmental compliance to multiple international regulations. In this role, you will report to the Director Operations, Compliance.

You Will Make An Impact By

• Learning current global environmental standards and regulations through communications with third party suppliers and training
• Assessing bill of materials to determine regulation compliance of articles
• Completing customer requests for product declarations or attestations of environmental compliance
• Ensure third party supplier effectively requests and receives queried information from suppliers
• Communicate evaluation timing and completed attestations to internal customers
• Draft compliance attestations and route for signature

Skills You Bring

• Level of formal education (if needed), license/certification, etc.
• Years of job-related work experience
• Acute attention to detail
• Working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and Adobe Acrobat
• Knowledge of Oracle, Agile, and SAP desired but not required
• Desire to learn quickly and execute

Preferred Skills

• Familiar with EU RoHS, EU REACH, and PFAS
• Knowledge of Sharepoint page design
• Comfortable presenting information to an audience

Supervisory Scope

• Reporting Relationships: Interns/Co-ops will report daily to Nathan Stiefel, Principal Product Compliance Engineer

Compensation And Benefits

Hourly Pay Range: $23.00 to $30.00 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.

Benefits: MKS offers a benefits package for interns/co-ops working at least 20 hours per week, including 11 paid holidays, sick time, and 15 paid vacation days accrued on a biweekly basis.

The application period for the intern/co-op position is estimated to be through the end of November 2026; however, this may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates.
