Responsibilities

• Support mRNA production efforts including batch production, characterization, and optimization.
• Synthesize and purify a wide range of mRNA constructs in parallel for program progression.
• Perform analytical characterization for full release panel of mRNA drug substance.
• Contribute to design, production, and purification improvements across platforms.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
• Laboratory-based role with primary focus on hands-on experiments.

Main Responsibilities

• Support mRNA production efforts for mRNA drug targets entailing batch production, characterization, optimization of mRNA processes.
• Focus on synthesis and purification of a wide range of mRNA constructs in parallel for fast Progression of programs.
• Provide accurate and reproducible execution of analytical characterization for full release panel for mRNA drug substance.
• Contribute to the optimization of mRNA sequence design, production, and purification.
• Contribute to platform projects by evaluating and implementing new technologies and optimizing existing workflows.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations to management and other stakeholders.
• This will be primarily a lab-based position.

About You

Basic Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a master's degree in life sciences, molecular biology, biochemistry, biomedical engineering or biotechnology with plans to graduate by Spring 2027 (or 2028)
• Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually require future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the Internal requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university throughout the duration of the co-op/internship.
• Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40hrs/week, Monday to Friday for the full duration of the co-op/internship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Desire to work in a team-first, fast-paced environment, learn new skills, and to efficiently solve problems.
• Experience in nucleic acid synthesis/handling (RNase-Free)/application with hands-on experience in messenger RNA production/characterization.
• Hands on experience in capillary and gel electrophoresis is an asset.
• Hands on experience in analytical and molecular biology methods relevant to mRNA is an asset.
• Attention to detail and meticulous record keeping.
• Manages time effectively demonstrating ability to manage multiple projects at one time.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $35.00 -$47.00 hourly. All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience.
