Select Sires Inc. in Plain City, OH, is seeking a Dairy Sire Marketing Intern to support the sire and marketing teams.

This temporary full-time, hourly, non-exempt internship offers hands-on experience gathering data, preparing bulls for marketing, and grooming cattle for photography. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or are enrolled in dairy science or related studies, with strong written and verbal communication skills and a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• Must have reliable means of transportation to report to work on time.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to travel overnight.
• Positive attitude with a passion for learning and strong communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office is a plus.
• Familiarity with dairy cattle pedigrees and genetic evaluations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a positive representation of the Select Sires, Inc. Mission and Core Values.
• Assist the sire department with gathering information and maintaining data to prepare bulls for their marketing career.
• Assist the marketing department with preparing cattle for photography, including selecting, clipping, grooming, and fitting cattle.
• Carry out a project to provide insight about bull development or a bull’s future marketing capabilities.

Select Sires, Inc. is currently seeking candidates to join our team as a Dairy Sire Marketing Intern. This temporary full‑time, hourly, non‑exempt position is at our Plain City, OH facility and reports to the Sr. Vice‑President of Genetic Programs and Research, Chuck Sattler.

Specific duties and responsibilities of a Dairy Sire Marketing Intern include, but are not limited to,

A Dairy Sire Marketing Intern's work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Work schedules and duties are subject to change to meet departmental needs.
