Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a hands-on intern to support production quality across electromechanical hardware. You will analyze data, develop KPIs, and lead small projects that improve quality processes, documenting changes and guiding training.

You will collaborate with engineers and technicians, build and measure prototype hardware, and may travel to suppliers for early sourcing and quality procedures. This 12-week in-person summer internship requires returning to school afterward.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, math, or a hard science.
  • Must return to school after internship for at least one quarter/semester.
  • U.S. Person due to access to export-controlled information; clearance eligibility may be required.
  • Must complete a 12-week in-person internship in summer 2027.

Responsibilities

  • Own a portion of the production quality support process for a product or set of products.
  • Conduct data analysis and data mining to identify trends and patterns in product quality.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs & OKR metrics to track product quality and drive improvements within a cross-functional team.
  • Lead a project that transforms an element of the quality engineering team—a process, inspection method, or data analytic method.
  • Support Anduril's quality management system and manage documentation/training changes at project conclusion.
  • Write documentation required for quality management for hardware at scale (work instructions, quality plans, inspection requirements).
  • Work with technicians and engineers hands-on, building and measuring prototype hardware.
  • Possibly travel to suppliers to do initial sourcing work and implement quality procedures.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Possibly travel to suppliers to do initial sourcing work, solve ongoing production issues, and implement quality procedures
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, Math, or a hard science.
  • Must be returning to school at the end of the internship to continue academic studies for at least one quarter or semester.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export‑controlled information or facilities; U.S. clearance eligibility may be required depending on program.
  • Ability to complete a 12‑week in‑person internship in one of our offices in summer 2027.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Internships or school related experience in a relevant field, preferably manufacturing, quality, supply chain or design of electromechanical hardware
  • Demonstrated ability to creatively problem solve issues related electromechanical hardware in a resource‑constrained environment
  • Demonstrated in‑kind or direct team leadership skills
  • Personal experience with inspection systems, data analysis, numeric methods, MatLab or other software packages.
  • A genuine interest in data analysis, process improvement, and thirst for learning
  • Previous experience leading project and working with data collection, analysis, and driving improvements.
  • Hands‑on experience with R/C and/or autonomous flight vehicles, flight controllers, or other related control systems
  • Software scripting experience in any language

US Hourly Range $32 - $40 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
