The ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines, be adaptable and work both independently and as part of a team are essential traits of a successful candidate. Candidates should have a strong academic background and be pursuing a four‑year Bachelor's degree or equivalent program. Although a background in accounting or finance can be helpful, we hire Interns who have studied a variety of disciplines.

WORK WITH US - Opportunities within Operations

Operations

The Jefferies Operations team affords Interns the opportunity to become familiar with the processing and reconciliation of all firm and client trading and settlement activity. Interns will be placed in one of the following teams within Operations: Capital Markets Middle Office, Operations Projects, U.S. Securities Operations, or Static Data/New Accounts. Additionally, you will have regular and consistent interaction with various other operational groups, as well as Finance, Risk, Compliance, and business management teams.

Intern responsibilities in Operations may include, but are not limited to:

• Supporting product‑specific Sales & Trading desks
• Working with Front Office teams to on‑board accounts in a client focused manner
• Partnering with Clients throughout the trading lifecycles
• Understanding the reconciliation trade break process
• Identifying opportunities to gain efficiencies
