Job summary

New York Life is offering a Technology Enablement & IT Operations Internship in Tampa with a hybrid work model. You will gain exposure to how modern technology organizations operate, maintain, and improve business technology, including AI-driven operation and automation initiatives.

You will work across teams to learn about reliability, observability, incident response, and end-user technology support, while delivering a meaningful internship project and presenting findings to leadership.

Qualifications

• Rising junior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data/Analytics, Cybersecurity, Business Technology, or related field.
• Interest in IT Operations, application support, automation, AI, or related technology disciplines.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Application Administration & Support tasks and learn how teams operate and troubleshoot applications used by the business.
• Explore Reliability & Observability concepts to monitor health, availability, and performance of services.
• Observe Incident, Problem & Change Management processes and participate in safety-first change implementations.
• Contribute to Automation & Continuous Improvement projects within IT Operations.
