Job summary

SpiderRock is hiring new graduates for a Software Engineer role in downtown Chicago with a hybrid onsite/office schedule. You will contribute to the SpiderRock Platform, learn in a fast-paced dev cycle, and participate in API development, debugging, and client onboarding.

The position reports to a Development Team Lead and targets December 2026 or May 2027 graduates ready to grow across cloud, APIs, and software components.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Math, Engineering, CS or related field or experience.
• Strong software development acumen and debugging experience.
• Proficient in .NET/C#/JAVA/C++/Python/PowerShell and Windows exposure.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum and project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Assist in debugging and analyzing user APIs and interfaces (GUI, MySQL, REST API).
• Work on challenging projects and learn about financial markets.
• Develop and configure API configurations based on client needs.
• Collaborate with IT and client support to troubleshoot issues.
• Participate in learning sessions on SpiderRock software philosophy.
• Contribute to software quality assurance for clients.
• Assist integration efforts for growing client base.
• Help enhance onboarding experiences for clients.

We are actively looking for New Graduates (December 2026 or May 2027) looking to launch their Software Engineercareer at SpiderRock. You will be able to contribute to the design and development of the SpiderRock Platform. We expect this individual to have a desire to learn, participate in engineering discussions, and contribute to the various components of the SpiderRock cloud, APIs and software. We seek a candidate with a strong desire to contribute to our team's fast paced development cycle. This is a full-time salaried position and will report to one of our Development Team Leads.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Assist in debugging and analyzing our user APIs and interfaces (GUI, MySQL, REST API)
• Work on challenging and complex projects
• Learn about the financial markets
• Develop and configure new API configurations based on client needs
• Work with IT and client support teams to troubleshoot issues
• Deep-Dive learning sessions on the SpiderRock software philosophy
• Contribute to our client support team's software quality assurance
• Assist integration efforts for SpiderRock's growing client base
• Work with clients to enhance the onboarding experience

WHAT SPIDERROCK IS LOOKING FOR

• BS or BA in Math, Engineering, Computer Science or relevant field or experience
• Strong acumen in software development
• Debugging experience
• Demonstrable .NET/C#/JAVA/C++/Python/PowerShell experience
• Exposure to Windows environment
• A strong analytical and problem solving approach
