Job summary

Textron Aviation offers an internship to gain hands-on experience on design and analysis projects within aerospace disciplines. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals in design, electrical, avionics, and other areas to contribute to real projects and build your skills.

The program runs for ten weeks during the summer, with 40 hours per week onsite, and includes mentorship, training, and meaningful project work toward your career goals.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. for Textron Aviation; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to explain technical details clearly.

JOB SUMMARY

Assist with developing, planning, organizing and conducting complex design assignments on Textron Aviation aircraft. Candidate will operate in one or more functional disciplines such as design, analysis, electrical, avionics, etc.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform duties in support of new product and sustaining designs
• Coordinate with other Engineering and technical groups to develop, implement, monitor, and status assignments

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE

Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in:

• Aerospace Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to work in a quick-paced environment where priorities change frequently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to clearly communicate technical details to others outside of specialty area

Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorship.

Summer internships are 40 hours per week typically from late-May to early-August lasting 10 weeks.

Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.
