Textron Lycoming Engines in Williamsport invites you to join a hands-on summer internship where you'll work on real projects with experienced engineers, gaining exposure to product development, BOM management, and FAA certification processes.

You will contribute by performing engineering assignments, reviewing changes, creating ECOs in PLM, and advising customers on designs while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Actively pursuing BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T drafting standards.
BOM creation / maintenance using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle preferred).
Teamwork, presentation skills, ability to resolve conflicts.
Strong organizational, interpersonal and communications skills with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Perform engineering assignments related to new product development or enhancement of existing products.
Create and maintain engine BOM.
Review engineering changes / revisions to procedures and drawings.
Create and execute engineering change orders (ECOs) using PLM software.
Consult with customers on designs and specifications.
Assist ODA group with FAA certification effort.
Coordinate activities with Director, Configuration Management and Regulations to meet goals.
May interface with suppliers.

About This Role

We believe people should love what they do – in this role, you will be responsible for:

Review engineering changes / revisions to both engineering procedures and drawings
Create and execute engineering change orders (ECOs) using PLM software
Consult with customers on designs and specifications
Assist ODA group with FAA certification effort
Coordinate activities with Director, Configuration Management and Regulations to ensure business and development goals will be achieved
May be required to interface with suppliers
