Job summary

Textron Systems in Wilmington, MA offers a 10-week Quality Engineering internship where you will interface with internal teams, develop inspection plans, and support nonconforming material documentation. You will contribute to quality planning and data analysis while learning to apply standards across projects.

You will collaborate with Supplier Quality Engineering, review contracts, and participate in process improvements and fabrication development.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering or Materialial Science.
• Knowledge of statistical techniques and applications.
• Ability to organize and prioritize assigned tasks.
• Effective written and oral communication skills, good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Interfaces with internal functional groups and systems for Quality Engineering tasks.
• Develop Quality Plan, Quality Assurance Directive and Inspection Plan as required by projects.
• Accumulation and compilation of data.
• Support nonconforming material documentation.
• Interfaces with Supplier Quality Engineering for supplier issues.
• Review customer contracts and design standards to define inspection requirements.
• Participate in process improvement through monitoring, root cause investigations, auditing, and failure analysis.
• Participate in developing fabrication/build processes and standards.

About This Role

• Interfaces with internal functional groups and systems in performance of the assigned Quality Engineering tasks
