Job summary

Textron ATAC internship offers hands-on experience in financial analysis within Textron Systems. You'll work on forecasts, EACs, budgets, and Earned Value reports, gaining exposure to program finance and reporting to management.

You'll learn to maintain baselines, generate standard financial reports, and support the finance team, with mentorship and potential for full-time opportunities.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or have completed a bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field and/or less than 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interface with management.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Access.
• Self-starter with the ability to assimilate data into reports.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work with other Finance and Accounting functions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analysis, maintain forecasts, and provide EACs for Textron Systems.
• Participate in budgets, cost projections, sales and profit estimates, and Earned Value reports.
• Maintain program measurement control systems.
• Create and maintain standard financial reports for the finance team and other functions.
• Provide day-to-day support to the program finance team.
• Establish and maintain baselines and EACs in the Earned Value tool (MPM).
• Analyze program trend data for ETC validity checks.
• Provide real time information to management regarding EAC swings and program updates.
• Other duties as assigned.

About This Role

A Day in the Life of a Financial Analyst Intern:

• Conduct analysis, maintain forecasts, and provide Estimate at Completion (EACs) for Textron Systems.

• Participate in projects relating to monthly budgets, cost projections, and sales and profit estimates, in addition to various Earned Value reports.

• Maintain program measurement control systems.

• Create and maintain standard financial reports for the finance team and other functions within the business.

• Provide day-to-day support to the program finance team

• Establish and maintain baselines and EACs in the Earned Value tool (MPM)

• Analyze program trend data for Estimate to Complete (ETC) validity checks

• Provide real time information to management regarding EAC swings, program updates

• Other duties as assigned
