Job summary

John Deere, an industry leader in farming and construction equipment, seeks an Environmental Engineer Intern for 2027 in Iowa. You will contribute to the Environmental team by supporting EMS implementations and regulatory compliance at a manufacturing site.

You will engage in project work across stormwater, chemical management, wastewater, and waste programs, with opportunities to build Power BI dashboards or Power Apps. Domestic relocation may be involved; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holding a bachelor’s or master’s in environmental engineering or related field.
• GPA of 2.8 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
• U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship available for this internship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing the Environmental Management System (EMS) and related programs.
• Conduct facility inspections to ensure compliance with EMS and environmental regulations.
• Manage stormwater, chemical management, wastewater, and waste programs.
• Explore and implement waste/energy/water reduction projects.
• Develop Power BI dashboards or Power Apps to support environmental data.

Your Responsibilities

As part of John Deere's Environmental team, youwillassistwith the implementation of the Environmental Management System (EMS) and Environmental Programs thatimpacta manufacturing facility and support the environmental compliance aspects of the factory. Some examples of activities that can be performed:

• Execute facility inspections to review compliance with environmental regulations and EMS requirements

• Take ownershipofenvironmentalprogram: stormwater, chemical management, wastewater, waste, etc.

• Explore and implement waste,energyor water reduction projects

• Explore and implement environmental risk reduction projects

• Develop Power BI Dashboard or Power Apps

What Skills You Need

• Basic knowledge of engineering statistics and introductory knowledge of environmental regulations

Must able to relocate domestically. Assignments can be at various locations throughout the United States. Location could be: Moline, IL; Des Moines, IA; Horicon, WI; Waterloo, IA
