Job summary

U.S. Bank offers a 10-week paid Human Resources Internship designed to build core HR principles through accelerated training and mentorship. You’ll engage with peers and mentors while learning how talent practices influence business strategy in a large national bank.

You’ll work on HR projects, gain business acumen, and connect with senior leaders, with formal onboarding starting June 7, 2027 in Minneapolis or Charlotte.

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree (HR, Labor Relations, Business, Communications, Management, or Organizational Psychology) with graduation target Dec 2027 or May 2028.
  • Ability to start internship program on June 7, 2027 in Minneapolis, MN or Charlotte, NC.

Job Description

Throughout our 10-week paid internship, you’ll build on core HR principles and skills through accelerated formal training, mentorship, and connect with a community of peers and advisors.

What you’ll do
  • Get hands‑on experience working on human resources projects that impact the business
  • Learn the nuances of how talent principles are incorporated in business strategies
  • Develop HR and business acumen through training, mentorship, and exposure to senior executives
  • Build a supportive community of peers through a variety of cohort strengthening activities such as social events, volunteer days, and development workshops

Basic qualifications
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree (focused on HR, Labor Relations, Business, Communications, Management, or Organizational Psychology) with a target graduation date of December2027 or May2028
  • Ability to start internship program on June7,2027 in Minneapolis, MN or Charlotte, NC
Preferred qualifications
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills within a business context
  • Experience building presentations and utilizing basic data visualization techniques
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to think and work independently with a professional demeanor
  • Flexibility to work within a multi‑discipline team and receive dynamic on‑the‑job training
  • Highly organized; ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously

Pay Range

Pay Range: $21.25 - $28.32
