Job summary

Mercury Systems is seeking an electrical/computer engineering intern to contribute to hardware development across the full lifecycle for high-end embedded technology in Andover, MA. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to design, verify, and test hardware products from concept to completion.

The role provides hands-on experience with CAD tools, lab equipment, and design verification, while learning from experienced engineers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a bachelor’s or master's degree in electrical or computer engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • A minimum GPA of 3.1 is required. You will be asked to submit transcripts during review.
  • Basic understanding of high-speed digital and analog circuitry, power management, and EMI.
  • General knowledge of electronic schematic tools (e.g., Allegro Design Entry HDL, Mentor Graphics/DXDesigner).
  • Familiarity with digital test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and power supplies.
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with standard documentation and presentation tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design development and test of hardware products from concept to completion.
  • Work with experienced engineers to design and verify state-of-the-art technology for commercial, defense and intelligence applications.
  • Execute lab design verification test (DVT) and debug.
  • Participate in the development and specification of new product HW/SW platform architectures.
  • Support detailed design specifications, test plans, and verification reports.
  • Support schematic development using Cadence DEHDL (Concept).

Mercury Systems is seeking a motivated and innovative hardware electrical engineering Intern eager to learn, contribute, and bring fresh ideas to complex design challenges. In this hands‑on role, you’ll gain experience across the full hardware development lifecycle for high end embedded technology while working closely with a collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering team.

Job Responsibilities
  • Support of the design development and test of hardware products from concept to completion
  • Work side-by-side with experienced electrical engineers to design and verify state-of-the-art technology for commercial, defense and intelligence applications
  • Execute lab design verification test (DVT) and debug

This position requires you to access information that is subject to U.S. export regulations. Preferred Qualifications
  • Exposure to conventional and advanced manufacturing techniques
  • Hands‑on lab experience including soldering or rework equipment
  • Prior internship, co‑op, or academic project experience related to hardware design or testing

Full time Equivalent Job Grade Salary Range for this position: $17.00 - 38.00/hour,
