Job summary

Guardian is offering a 2027 Summer Internship Program as a paid 10-week learning experience across its offices in New York, Boston, and Bethlehem. You will gain invaluable industry knowledge through daily business interactions and projects that affect the company, while engaging with senior leaders in collaborative settings.

You will partner with leaders across Operations, Claims, Service and Transformation, analyze data with SQL, Python, Co-Pilot and Claude, and develop executive presentations

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders across Operations, Claims, Service and Transformation to support initiatives.
• Analyze operational and customer data to identify opportunities for improvement with SQL, Python, Co-Pilot and Claude.
• Assist in developing executive presentations, business cases and strategic recommendations.
• Develop learning and development plans for newly implemented improvements to the colleague’s experience.
• Learn Guardian’s purpose, values, and product/service offerings and build a broad internal network.

Our 2027 Summer Internship Program is a paid 10-week learning experience where you will be immersed in the daily environment of a thriving global financial services company. You will gain invaluable industry and organizational knowledge through daily business interactions and job assignments, in addition to engaging in projects that directly affect our business, interact with senior leaders in conversational settings, and network with employees and interns across our offices. This 10-week internship provides you with realistic experiences and information of what it is like to work at Guardian.

Internship Dates

The internship program will run from Thursday, May 27, 2027- Friday, August 6, 2027.

You are:

A current junior (graduation date of May 2028) who is fueled by collaboration, able to listen and make quick decisions and thrive in a goal-oriented environment.

You have:

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Finance
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency using data analytics and generative AI tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, MAI Image 2.5 Flash, Flux.2 Flex, and GPT-Image, to support research, analysis, and business insights

You will:

• Partner with leaders across Operations, Claims, Service and Transformation to support strategic initiatives focused on enhancing the customer and Guardian Colleague experience
• Analyze operational and customer data to identify opportunities for improvement through data analytics tools such as SQL, Python, Microsoft Co-Pilot and Claude
• Assist in the development of executive presentations, business cases and strategic recommendations for investment
• Develop learning and development plans for newly implemented improvements to the colleague’s experience
• Have the opportunity to work and learn from supportive leaders, mentors, and team members across the organization who will help coach you as you develop your professional career

Eligibility

• Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization. F-1 visa holders with Optional Practical Training (OPT) who will require H-1B status, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered. H1-B and green card sponsorship are not available for this position.
• You must be available for the full program dates of the internship program.

Salary Range

$20.00 - $35.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
