Guardian Life invites students to join a paid 10-week Internship Program. You will be immersed in daily operations of a global financial services company, work on actuarial tasks, and engage with senior leaders during meaningful projects across our offices at New York and Bethlehem.

The program runs May 27, 2027 to August 6, 2027, with rolling applications and a deadline of November 13, 2026. Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Our 2027 Internship Program is a paid 10-week learning experience where you will be immersed in the daily environment of a thriving global financial services company. You will gain invaluable industry and organizational knowledge through daily business interactions and job assignments, in addition to engaging in projects that directly affect our business, interact with senior leaders in conversational settings, and network with employees and interns across our offices. This 10-week internship provides you with realistic experiences and information of what it is like to work at Guardian.

Internship Dates:

The internship program will run from Thursday, May 27, 2027- Friday, August 6, 2027.

You are:

A current junior (graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028) who is fueled by collaboration, able to listen and make quick decisions and thrive in a goal-oriented environment.

You have:
Required Qualifications:
  • Passed at least one actuarial exam
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Curiosity about problem solving and interest in developing technical skills
  • Coursework or experience in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, data science, or a related field
  • Familiarity with actuarial concepts, insurance products, or financial services
You will:
  • Assist with departmental actuarial tasks, such as pricing or valuation

Eligibility:
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization. F-1 visa holders with Optional Practical Training (OPT) who will require H-1B status, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered. H1-B and green card sponsorship are not available for this position.

Salary Range:

$20.00 - $35.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
