Job summary

UBS is inviting highly motivated graduates to join the 2027 Group Technology Office Graduate Talent Program in NY/NJ. You will engage across the full software development lifecycle and work on business-critical applications that enable trading, data governance, and client servicing, using Java, Python, React and more.

Placed in a global technology office, you’ll rotate through roles as a Technology Engineer Graduate or Data Engineer Graduate, gaining hands-on experience and professional training

Qualifications

• Graduating between December 2026 and June 2027 with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Proficient in at least one programming language (Java, Python, AI/ML).
• Preferably have a computer science, engineering, or STEM background.

Responsibilities

• Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment and continuous improvement.
• Develop, enhance and support business-critical applications and platforms across UBS using Java, Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, React, Spring Boot, SQL, REST APIs and event-driven architectures.
• Build expertise in full-stack development, distributed systems, data platforms and AI/ML engineering while collaborating effectively.

• contribute throughout the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement using modern engineering practice
• develop, enhance, and support business-critical applications and platforms that enable trading, order management, data governance, and client servicing across UBS, using technologies such as Java, Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, React, Spring Boot, SQL, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures
• build expertise in full-stack development, distributed systems, data and analytics platforms, AI/ML engineering and enterprise-scale financial technology solutions, while demonstrating strong problem-solving, collaboration, and continuous learning skills

Your team

You’ll be working in the Group Technology Office located in NY/NJ. They’re responsible for sourcing, developing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting our world-class technology solutions. They’re a global organization with multiple streams that align with each of the key functional areas within UBS to ensure that our solutions meet the firm’s business needs. Based on your interests and experience, you’ll be placed as a Technology Engineer Graduate or Data Engineer Graduate.

We’re Looking For a Candidate Who

• is graduating between December 2026 and June 2027 and has a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and above
• has fully completed their degree and met all graduation requirements by the program start date
• is proficient in at least one programming language (Java, Python, AI/ML)
• preferably has a computer science, engineering, or STEM academic background

Our Graduate Talent Program is 24 months long, and designed to help you develop the skills you need to grow your career. To start, the program introduces you to our firm, provides professional and technical training and teaches you core skills and knowledge of the Group Technology Office. And it continues from there: by learning from your colleagues, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to develop new skills and build your network.
