Job summary

WSP seeks graduates to join our two-year Graduate Development Programme in civil or structural engineering. You will gain hands-on experience, mentoring, and structured learning to launch your career on landmark projects.

You will start in September 2027, collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, and develop skills in building design, sustainable construction, and digital modelling while contributing to safe and resilient structures.

Qualifications

  • 2:2 or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
  • On track to start September 2027.
  • Interest in building design, sustainable construction, digital modelling, or how buildings are designed and delivered.
  • Curious, analytical, and motivated to solve technical design challenges.
  • Comfortable collaborating with others across project teams.
  • Keen to learn, take ownership, broaden skills, and create value for clients and communities.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the two-year Graduate Development Programme with structured learning, mentoring, and hands-on experience.
  • Collaborate with project teams across design and delivery to solve technical design challenges.
  • Develop capabilities in building design, structural engineering, sustainable construction, and digital modelling.

What We’re Looking For
  • You will have, or be on track to achieve, at least a 2:2 in a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering Property & Buildings and Industry | WSP
  • You will be looking to start work in September 2027.
  • You will be interested in building design, structural engineering, sustainable construction, materials, digital modelling or how buildings are designed and delivered.
  • You will be curious, analytical and motivated to solve technical design challenges that shape safe, practical and resilient building structures.
  • You will be comfortable collaborating with others, sharing ideas and learning from different specialists across project teams.
  • You will be keen to learn, take ownership, broaden your skillset and create value for clients, communities and building users.
