Job summary

MSD Malaysia is offering a Global Clinical Trial Operations internship (Portfolio Resource Forecasting) for up to 12 weeks, starting May or June 2027. You will forecast resources, build data views in Python/SQL/PowerBI, and develop tools to automate processes. You will present a capstone summarizing internship objectives and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be currently enrolled in a full-time BS/BA degree program in a business, computer technology, mathematics or science related discipline.
• Knowledge of Python, SQL, or PowerBI is a plus.
• Candidates must be available to work full-time for up to (12) weeks beginning in May or June of 2027.
• Candidates must have completed at least (2) years of collegiate study by June of 2027.

Responsibilities

• Provide resource forecasting and analytics support for selected functional stakeholders.
• Use Python, SQL or PowerBI to create new data processes, views, or dashboards.
• Develop tools to support resource forecasting, visualization and/or process automation.
• Provide support for development of algorithmic demand models.
• Generate process maps and/or performance metrics.
• Assist organizational efforts to simplify and standardize global process.
• Develop effective communications.
• Receive exposure to the field of clinical research and drug development with direct activities supporting global clinical trial operations.
• Deliver a capstone presentation illustrating internship objectives and activities.

Job Description The Future Talent Program features internships that lasts up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. The Global Clinical Trial Operations (GCTO) team is seeking applicants for the Portfolio Resource Forecasting intern position. The intern will engage with the Portfolio Resource Forecasting organization and their functional stakeholders as they identify and validate the resource demand required to support the efficient and ethical conduct of clinical trials across GCTO.

Activities may include (but are not limited to)
