Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a technically skilled intern to develop firmware and software for microcontrollers, create reusable drivers, and architect system-level features for a growing codebase.

You will debug across electrical, firmware, and software boundaries while contributing to a hands-on, in-person internship in Summer 2027. A CS/CE/EE degree track and U.S. person status are required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Must be returning to school at the end of the internship to continue academic studies for at least one quarter or semester.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities; U.S. clearance eligibility may be required depending on program.
• Ability to complete a 12-week in-person internship in one of our offices in summer 2027.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Must be returning to school at the end of the internship to continue academic studies for at least one quarter or semester.

• Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities; U.S. clearance eligibility may be required depending on program.

• Ability to complete a 12-week in-person internship in one of our offices in summer 2027.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Solid C coding ability for embedded systems
• Some experience integrating microcontrollers with analog and digital designs
• Some experience developing firmware in bare-metal or RTOS environments
• Solid understanding and application of coding best practices, board bring up and debugging
• Some familiarity with common bus protocols such as USB, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS232, RS485, Ethernet, etc.
• Experience with one or more microcontroller cores (ARM, AVR, MSP430, PIC, etc.)
• Some experience debugging with JTAG, SWD, Oscilloscopes, or Logic analyzers
• Have a bias for action. If you see a problem, you want to solve and fix it
• Be naturally curious about the technologies and tools you use

US Hourly Range

$42—$50 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
