Job summary

PPG's Financial Leadership Development (FLD) Program is a selective, premier rotational program designed to develop the next generation of finance leaders at PPG. In year one, you’ll participate in onboarding and development experiences to accelerate your growth and build a foundation in finance at PPG.

Following rotations, you’ll work with finance leaders to identify future assignments, with rotations typically around 24 months that broaden your responsibilities, expand your network, and deepen

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Accounting or Finance.
  • Academic record (GPA of 3.3 or above).
  • Team player.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Authorized to work permanently in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze manufacturing costs, including labor, materials, utilities, and operational efficiencies.
  • Support product costing and profitability analysis through standard cost updates.
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and financial analyses.
  • Participate in inventory counts and inventory‑related reconciliations.
  • Develop short‑ and long‑term financial forecasts.
  • Evaluate capital investment (CapEx) opportunities and business cases.
  • Analyze customer and product profitability to support decisions.
  • Present financial reports, performance analyses, and ad hoc insights.
  • Build expertise in leading finance systems, including SAP, Oracle, and Anaplan.

Job description

The PPG Financial Leadership Development (FLD) Program is a selective and premier rotational program designed to develop the next generation of finance leaders at PPG. For more than 40 years, the program has served as a pipeline for top talent, providing participants with the experiences, training, and mentorship needed to build successful careers across the organization.

During your first year, you will participate in a structured onboarding and development experience designed to accelerate your growth and help you build a foundation in finance at PPG. In addition to meaningful, hands‑on responsibilities, you will receive a combination of technical training, leadership development, and professional coaching to strengthen and prepare you for future leadership opportunities.

Following your initial rotation, you will work with experienced finance leaders and program mentors to identify future assignments aligned with your interests, strengths, and career goals. Subsequent rotations, typically lasting around 24 months, provide increasing levels of responsibility and exposure to different areas of the business, helping you continue to expand your skills, network, and effect across the organization.
