Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Cancer Diagnostics intern to gain meaningful, hands-on experience in finance and accounting across FP&A, logistics finance, and corporate initiatives. The assignments will be located onsite at the Abbott Cancer Diagnostics office in Madison, WI, offering interaction with finance coworkers and business partners and exposure to senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in school the semester following your internship.
• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in a Finance or Accounting related discipline.
• Before graduation, planning to complete a minimum of 3 accounting classes (one 3-4 credit hour accounting course must be cost accounting).
• Must have authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now and in the future.
• Overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• On-campus leadership positions
• Member of school or national organizations in Finance or Accounting
• School and/or work experience using Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint & Power BI)

The Opportunity

The purpose of the internship is to provide meaningful, professional, hands-on experience to students with proven academic performance and leadership potential. Ideal candidates will utilize and further develop technical and soft skills (i.e., communication), business knowledge, analytical techniques, and creative problem-solving abilities.

Assignments are carried out in a variety of work environments within Abbott's Cancer Diagnostics division, including corporate and operating unit locations, laboratories, and support function sites, where interns will interact with various finance co-workers and business partners.
