Caterpillar Inc. in Irving, TX is seeking a Finance Analyst for the Finance Leadership Development Program.

You will perform entry-level finance assignments and learn Caterpillar’s procedures, customers, dealers, and financial practices through diverse rotations. You will gain experience in financial management, analyze supplier finance strength, manage currency risks, and contribute to an investment strategy for a multi-billion-dollar retirement fund.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at a 4-year university in Finance, Economics or related major with minimum 18 hours of Finance coursework.
• Minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA (Finance and cumulative).
• Degree must be completed before the hire date.

About The Role:

A Finance Analyst in the Finance Leadership Development Program will perform entry-level finance assignments and develop knowledge of Caterpillar’s procedures, philosophy, customers, dealers, organization, and financial practices.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Our Finance Professionals deliver a wide range of financial management directions and services to a variety of business partners including suppliers, subsidiaries, business units, dealers, and customers.
• The Finance Analyst role will allow you opportunities in a variety of finance-related areas.
• Managing multi-currency cash flows.
• Managing foreign exchange/commodity risk.
• Execute an investment strategy for our multi-billion-dollar retirement fund.
• Analyze the financial strength of suppliers and work with our worldwide dealers to improve their financial results.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at 4-year accredited university/college in one of the following degree programs: Finance, Economics or other Business or Technology major with a minimum 18 hours of Finance courses.
• Minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA (both Finance GPA & Cumulative GPA).
• Candidates must complete their degree before the hire date.

Desired Qualifications:

• This position requires 12 months or less of professional experience in this field (excluding internships)

• Financial Markets: Knowledge of the products, types, competitors, customer base, major issues and regulatory considerations in the financial markets; ability to apply financial market knowledge to various business environments.
• Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
• Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
• Communicating Complex Concepts: Knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques to ensure clear understanding; ability to use summarization and simplification techniques to explain complex technical concepts in simple, clear language appropriate to the audience.
• Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Summary Pay Range: $81,370.00 - $122,060.00
