Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an entry-level Buyer to join our Supply Chain team in Balboa, CA.

You will create, manage, and follow up on purchase orders, coordinate with suppliers, and support contract preparation and execution to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets. The role emphasizes building strong supplier relationships, monitoring performance, and addressing supply risks while collaborating with Engineering, Planning, and other internal partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal partners.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize competing demands.
• Experience with ERP software and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
