Job summary

DWS Real Estate Internship offers hands-on experience in underwriting, valuations, and portfolio management at a leading asset manager. You’ll perform DCF analyses in Argus and Excel, and craft Investment Committee materials for financings, leasing, and dispositions.

With mentorship from experienced professionals, you’ll grow in long-term planning, property business plans, and reporting insights, while developing AI-enabled tooling for smarter decisions.

Responsibilities

• Compile DCF underwriting in Argus and Excel for multi-year planning, hold-sell decisions, financings, leasing, and value-add strategies.
• Prepare Investment Committee presentations for financings, leasing, and dispositions.
• Analyze leasing opportunities and sensitivities via ARGUS, NPV analyses, and market research.
• Identify opportunities to provide additional analysis/recommendations to add value to AM/PM.
• Lead external appraisal process and complete internal valuations across Transactions and Portfolio/Asset Management.
• Support the transition of newly acquired properties from Transactions to Portfolio/Asset Management.
• Develop in-house tools for both commercial and residential assets to increase efficiency.
• Review Asset Management reports for NRA, occupancy, carrying value and NOI.
• Prepare annual property business plans and quarterly reporting; develop hold/sell or MAP recommendations.

As our DWS Real Estate Intern, you will:

• Compile DCF underwriting in both Argus and Excel to assist with multi‐year planning, hold‐sell decisions, financings, leasing, and value‐add strategies
• Prepare Investment Committee presentations for financings, leasing, and dispositions
• Analyzeleasing opportunities and sensitivities via ARGUS, NPV analyses, and market research
• Proactively identify opportunities to provide additional analysis/recommendations to add value to your respective AM/PM
• Lead external appraisal process and complete internal valuations, while working across several in‐house departments, including transactions and research
• Support the transition of newly acquired properties from the Transactions group and the Portfolio / Asset Management group
• Develop in-house tools for both, commercial and residential assets, to increase efficiency
• Review of Asset Management reports for purposes of confirming NRA, occupancy, carrying value and net operating income
• Prepare annual property business plans and review of quarterly reporting
• Prepare Annual Investment Plans and development of Hold/Sell or MAP Recommendations

Salary

The salary range for this position is $100,000. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
