Job summary

Associated Bank's 12-week internship program offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and real-world projects across risk management disciplines in Milwaukee. You’ll participate in orientation, workshops, and research projects while building your network and learning the culture, values and mission in action.

The internship is open to Bachelor's Degree students in sophomore to senior standing, with preferred AI experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Key Accountabilities
  • Participate in structured corporate internship programming, including orientation, workshops, networking events, research projects, and professional development activities.
  • Support Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Operational Risk Management (ORM), and Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) initiatives across the organization.
  • Assist with risk-related projects, process improvement initiatives, and SharePoint enhancements that support risk management activities.
  • Perform reporting, data analysis, and risk-related research to support business objectives and team deliverables.
  • Contribute to correspondence management, administrative activities, and day-to-day support for the risk management team.
  • Collaborate with ERM, ORM, and TPRM team members and participate in meetings to gain exposure to multiple risk disciplines and subject matter experts.
  • Develop an understanding of risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and mitigation processes across the organization while contributing to meaningful project work.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and confidentiality guidelines, and complete additional duties as assigned.
Required
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree student with sophomore, junior, or senior standing at the time of internship start date; must not have graduated prior to internship start date.
Preferred
  • AI experience.
  • Microsoft Excel.
  • Initiative.
