Job summary

Associated Bank invites students to join its 12-week internship program, gaining hands-on experience in accounting, reporting, and policy initiatives. You will work with the Controller Group, prepare journal entries, and participate in professional development activities within a supportive team.

Ideal candidates are Bachelor’s degree students (sophomores–seniors) pursuing accounting, with strong communication, initiative, and attention to detail.

Key Accountabilities
  • Participate in structured corporate internship programming, including orientation, workshops, networking events, research projects, and professional development activities.
  • Support the Controller Group while gaining exposure to financial reporting, accounting policy, and general ledger operations.
  • Assist with financial reporting activities, financial statement preparation, and regulatory reporting projects.
  • Conduct accounting policy research and support policy documentation initiatives.
  • Prepare and support journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger activities.
  • Collaborate with professionals across Financial Reporting, Accounting Policy, and General Ledger teams to support accounting and financial operations.
  • Participate in meetings, training, and project‑based work that supports the accuracy and integrity of financial information across the organization.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and confidentiality guidelines, and complete additional duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
Required
  • Bachelor's Degree student with sophomore, junior, or senior standing at the time of internship start date; must not have graduated prior to internship start date.
Preferred
  • Pursuing a degree in Accounting.
  • Communication skills.
  • Initiative.
  • Attention to detail.
