Job summary

Textron Specialized Vehicles is seeking an on-site Communications Intern in Augusta, GA for a 10-week summer program. You will assist in developing and executing internal and external communications, plan events, and support content creation across newsletters, intranet, and social media.

The role requires pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, business, or related field, with basic MS Office and Photoshop skills.

• Full-time, on-site internship with a 10-week duration and prepaid stipend.

Responsibilities

• Assist in defining, developing, and executing communications strategies for stakeholders.
• Plan and execute internal and external communications across newsletters, intranet, social media, and meetings.
• Support employee and community engagement events to boost morale and brand presence.
• Create engaging content including photo/video production for internal campaigns.
• Collaborate with marketing to raise brand awareness and influence customer decisions.
• Contribute to additional projects as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in defining, developing, and executing communications strategies to effectively inform and engage company stakeholders, including 3,500 global employees, surrounding communities, and civic leaders.
• Plan and execute internal and external communications across multiple mediums, including regularly published internal newsletters, company intranet sites, social media, and face‑to‑face meetings and events.
• Assist in the planning and execution of employee and community‑engagement events to drive positive morale among workforce and position the company as a solid corporate citizen and employer of choice in its communities.
• Assist in the development of engaging content to support communications initiatives, including photo and video production and internal communications campaigns.
• Collaborate with company’s marketing function as needed with tactical marketing communications, with a focus on increasing awareness and visibility of TSV brands and products and positively influencing customer buying decisions.
• Other projects as requested.
