Job summary

Under Canvas Inc. in Utah's Virgin location seeks a Back of House Supervisor to lead the culinary team, uphold food safety and brand standards, and serve as lead cook or expediter during the seasonal, hourly role. Housing option available during employment.

You will support the Food and Beverage Manager with interviewing, scheduling, coaching, and inventory tasks, while maintaining clean, safe workspaces and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of culinary leadership experience required.
• Food Handler Certification and TIPS card required.
• Knife skills and inventory experience required.
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills required.

Responsibilities

• Support team member management including interviewing, scheduling, and coaching.
• Maintain food safety standards and allergen awareness.
• Assist with menu development and daily specials.
• Ensure clean and safe workspaces through daily and weekly cleaning tasks.
• Assist with inventory, ordering, and waste tracking.

Summary

As a Back of House Supervisor, you will support the Food and Beverage Manager by leading the culinary team and ensuring food safety protocols and brand standards are followed. This role also serves as a lead cook and/or expediter. This is a seasonal, hourly position and includes the option of team member housing for the duration of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Information

• This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment, when applicable.
• This position requires that the individual is able to lift a minimum of 45lbs independently.
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions including but not limited to heat, cold, rain, snow, humidity, and wind.
• This position is contingent upon the satisfactory completion of a background check and/or motor vehicle records check, if requested by Under Canvas.
