Job summary

Under Canvas is seeking a Back of House Supervisor for Acadia, ME. This seasonal, hourly role supports the Food and Beverage Manager, leads the culinary team, and ensures adherence to food safety protocols and brand standards. There is potential for team member housing for the season.

The candidate will oversee interviewing, scheduling, coaching, and daily operations while assisting with menu development and inventory management in a fast-paced outdoor hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of culinary leadership experience.
• Food Handler Certification and TIPS card required.
• Knife skills and inventory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the Food and Beverage Manager by leading the culinary team.
• Maintain food safety standards and allergen awareness.
• Assist with menu development and daily specials.
• Ensure clean and safe workspaces through daily tasks.
• Assist with inventory, ordering, and waste tracking.

Summary

As a Back of House Supervisor, you will support the Food and Beverage Manager by leading the culinary team and ensuring food safety protocols and brand standards are followed. Additional Information

• This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment, when applicable.
• This position requires that the individualis able tolift a minimum of 45lbs independently.
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions including but not limited to heat, cold, rain, snow, humidity, and wind.
