Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Entry Level Test Engineer for our Defense Systems Sector in Roy, Utah. The role supports innovative mission-critical solutions across aerospace and software domains, with opportunities to develop skills in testing hardware and software in a dynamic environment.

Ideal candidates have engineering degrees (Aerospace, Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing), are U.S. citizens, and can obtain a security clearance. GPA and active clearance are favorable.

  • Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) from an accredited institution.
  • Be majoring in or having majored in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).
  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher.
  • Current active Secret Security Clearance or higher.

Northrop Grumman is seeking Test Engineers. This position will be located at our Defense Systems Sector in Roy, UT. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Strategic Deterrent Systems Division (SDSD). This requisition may be filled at either an Associate Test Engineer (T01) or an Test Engineer (T02).


Basic Qualifications

A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria.



  • Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) from an accredited institution.

  • Be majoring in or having majored in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

  • Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).


Preferred Qualifications


  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher.

  • Current active Secret Security Clearance or higher.


Salary Range for Roy, UT


  • Associate Electrical Engineer - $59,900 - $89,900

  • Electrical Engineer - $72,100 - $108,100


Primary Level Salary Range: $59,900.00 - $89,900.00


Secondary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $108,100.00


The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.


Benefits


  • Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

  • Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

  • Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.

  • In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
