Job summary

Qualifications

Overview

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Contracts Administrator (Level 1) or Contracts Administrator (Level 2). This position will be located in Melbourne, FL and is part of Northrop Grumman’s Contracts, Property & Global Trade Unit. The requisition may be filled at either level.

Responsibilities
  • Role will have significant visibility within high-visibility programs, including submittals and reviews, and must manage tight deadlines in a complex environment.
  • Meet high performance expectations in a dynamic environment and contribute to negotiations with customers as a strategic team member.
  • Grow and gain experience with different contract types.
  • Review terms and conditions to address provisions and risks of financial terms, acceptance criteria, delivery requirements, warranty, and other potential risk areas; recommend risk mitigation strategies.
  • Develop solutions under general supervision to ensure company compliance with contract requirements on assigned programs.
  • Assist management in achieving financial goals related to cash management and sales.
  • Prepare written communications with internal and external customers for contractual matters.
  • Maintain contract data in Contract Management System and/or Enterprise Accounting System.
  • Ensure timely delivery of all contractual deliverables and submission of invoices.
Basic Qualifications
Associate Contracts Administrator (T01)
  • Be completing or has completed a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by Summer 2027.
  • Be majoring in or having majored in Business Management, Business Administration, Legal, or similar degree.
  • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) and Program Special Access within a reasonable period to meet business needs.
Contracts Administrator (T02)
  • Be completing or has completed a Master’s degree from an accredited institution by Summer 2027 or is completing or has completed a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and has 2 years of contracts, business, law, or similar experience by Summer 2027.
  • Be majoring in or having majored in Business, Administration, Legal, or similar degree.
  • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) and Program Special Access within a reasonable period of time to meet business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Overall GPA of 3.25 or higher (4.0 scale).
  • Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).
  • Good presentation and writing/communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, willing to learn, and able to work in a team environment.
  • Experience in developing and delivering presentations and leading small groups.
  • Experience in working autonomously on complex projects.
  • Experience with negotiating FAR terms and conditions; knowledge of law, business, or relevant advanced degree.
  • Working knowledge of US Government contracting; Aerospace/Defense Industry experience.
Pay Range
  • Level 1: $54,400.00 – $81,600.00
  • Level 2: $65,500.00 – $98,300.00
