The UCLA Immunogenetics Center, within the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles, is accepting applications for the UCLA Immunogenetics Fellowship Director-in-Training (DIT) Program beginning in July 2027. This two-year fellowship provides specialized training in Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics, equipping trainees with the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to become histocompatibility directors.
The UCLA Immunogenetics Center supports both solid organ transplant programs (kidney, heart, lung, liver, intestine) and hematopoietic stem cell transplant programs. This DIT position is designed to prepare fellows for board certification by the American College of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ACHI) and HLA Laboratory Director certification by the American Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ASHI).
Upon successful completion of the two-year program, fellows may be considered for a two-year extension (total of four years) based on performance, competency, and departmental funding.
