  • Salary Uplift: 15% on top of base salary for NYC or San Francisco (subject to change)

Project Overview

The rapid growth of AI and digitalization is fueling unprecedented demand for data centers that require large, reliable sources of energy. In response to this market trend, the Renewables & Clean Power (R&CP) team has signed an early works contract to build one of the largest gas‑fired power generation facilities in the U.S. The project will transition to full EPC delivery next year.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Area Field Engineer, the Graduate Electrical Field Engineer will provide project field engineering support with work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and coordination of system turnover. The work will contribute to ensuring field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements.

Major Responsibilities

Work Planning & Packaging

  • Assists in the preparation of construction drawings, sketches, projections and schedules for workforce, material, and equipment requirements
  • Assists in planning construction methods and procedures

Material Management

  • Initiates requisitions for field purchases
  • Assists in preparation of quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment

Quantities

  • Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required

Safety / Quality Control

  • Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely

Technical

  • Proactively considers continuous learning or shows interest to pursue appropriate learning activities
  • Assists supporting construction engineers, discipline superintendents, foremen, and Craft Professionals in interpreting engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents

System Turnover Coordinator

  • Develops firm understanding of system and area scoping and drawings required for package development
  • Builds system and area turnover packages both digitally and physically for turnover to startup and client

Education And Experience Requirements

Engineering degree (electrical, electronic communication, or alike) with less than 1 year of experience.

Required Knowledge And Skills

  • Basic knowledge of Electrical engineering, construction materials, installation sequence and interpretation of electrical drawings
  • Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards
  • Enthusiastic approach to learning opportunities, including seeking and accepting feedback to enhance your own development and experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and willingness to work with a diverse range of people
