Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Program Cost Scheduling Control Analyst - Finance at our Elkton, MD facility. You will support strategic and space-related programs and work closely with program management and internal/external customers.

You'll prepare budgets and schedules, conduct funding analyses, and help maintain contract cost baselines. The role includes monthly/quarterly reporting, process improvements, and exploring profit opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) from an accredited institution
  • Major in Business, Finance, Analytics, or other related discipline
  • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
  • Masters degree required

Responsibilities

  • Setting up cost control systems, monitoring and controlling costs and schedules on contracts requiring a validated cost schedule control system
  • Preparing budgets for contract work and performing and/or assisting in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis
  • Preparing and analyzing financial reports and communicate recommendations to management in a clear, organized summary
  • Working with the program team to integrate project cost with scheduled activity
  • Providing monthly / quarterly reporting and analysis to support business processes
  • Assist in planning and forecasting program financial performance. Prepare future strategic plans
  • Analyzing business processes and making recommendations to improve process efficiency and support continuous improvement
  • Identifying potential profit impacts to programs, and making recommendations for mitigation and improving profit margin

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Program Cost Scheduling Control Analyst - Finance

This position will be located at our Defense Systems Sector in Elkton, MD.

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Propulsion Systems and Controls (PS&C) facility in Elkton, Maryland.

Job Summary

As a Program Cost Scheduling Control Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting our strategic and space-related business programs. This position will work very closely with Northrop Grumman program management, operational leaders, and internal and external customers.

Responsible for the preparation of budgets and schedules for contract work and financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis. Performs data gathering and analysis to ensure adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government. Aides in incorporating contractual changes into control systems to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines.

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following tasks:

Basic Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher
  • Experience with Tableau, PowerBI, or other data visualization software programs
  • Experience with SQL, Python, R, or other analytics programming languages
  • Experience with SAP
