2026 Internship - Product Engineering (Mechanical Design Interior)DescriptionJOB SUMMARY:The Mechanical Design Engineer Intern position is responsible for design, development and testing of aircraft components and their installations. This includes modeling/drafting of parts, assemblies, and installations using Catia V5 and/or V6. Components may include aircraft furniture, composite panels and environmental system air ducts. Design assignments are executed under the direction of the Engineering Supervisor with an emphasis on meeting and or exceeding customer requirements. Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorship.
Summer internships are 40 hours per week typically from late-May to early-August lasting 10 weeks .Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.
