Job summary

Canada's Wonderland is seeking a Scare-Actor to create terrifying, immersive experiences for guests. You will perform in assigned areas, stay in character, and interact with guests while following training and safety guidelines.

The role involves outdoor work in varied weather, wearing costumes and makeup for long periods, and collaborating with team members to ensure guest safety and satisfaction. Availability on weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16.
• Must be available Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 4pm to park close.
• Wears costumes, stage makeup and/or prosthetics for long periods.
• Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Must be professional, self-motivated, the ability to multi-task and have an enthusiastic attitude.
• Must have strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with others.
• Must be able to energetically interact with guests for the full length of shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform to the best of your ability to scare and interact with guests in the area you are assigned.
• Work in areas that may include dark rooms, loud music, fog, strobe lights, animatronic effect and may be outside.
• Follow all guidelines provided and reviewed during training including staying in character at all times while guest facing.
• Remain in your assigned area until dismissed by the Supervisor.
• Wear the assigned costume appropriately and supply black shoes, black pants, and the Fright Fest t-shirt.
• Protect your costume and makeup from damage and maintain it.
• Ensure general housekeeping for the haunted houses, break areas, makeup area and Show Wardrobe.
