Job summary

Greif Foundation is seeking an intern to join the Early Career Program in a part-time role across Delaware and Ohio. You will support foundation grant processes, coordinate sponsorship activations, and engage with nonprofit partners to advance community initiatives.

The internship offers hands-on experience in philanthropy, exposure to internal communications, and opportunities to present outcomes to senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must be enrolled in a degree program and have completed at least one full academic year of undergraduate study (sophomore status or higher).
  • Actively pursuing an undergraduate degree in marketing, journalism, communications, business, or a related degree program.
  • Ability to work part-time beginning September 2026.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, organizational, time management, analytical, and adaptability skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support the administration and coordination of foundation grant processes and community sponsorship activations.
  • Engage with nonprofit organizations to support community impact initiatives and volunteer programs.
  • Assist in planning and executing grant announcement events, volunteer activities, and community engagement opportunities.
  • Prepare internal and external communications, presentations, and materials related to foundation and community investment programs.
  • Track campaign performance metrics and assist in developing event summaries, ROI analyses, and impact reports.
  • Build professional relationships with nonprofit leaders, community stakeholders, and internal business partners.
  • Shadow foundation professionals to gain exposure to strategic philanthropy, corporate citizenship, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Contribute to team goals, special projects, and other duties as assigned.
  • Potentially present internship project outcomes and key learnings to senior leadership at the conclusion of the internship.

Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between22.00 to24.00 annually.
