Job summary

RTX is seeking a Systems Engineer – Integration & Test (Onsite) in Massachusetts to support hardware/software testing, data analysis, and system integration tasks. The role involves live-fire test events and collaboration with stakeholders to ensure robust performance across development stages.

The ideal candidate has a STEM degree and hands‑on experience with test equipment, MATLAB, and Python scripting, and can obtain a Secret security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM completed before the start date.
• Experience troubleshooting with test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer) in academic or internship setting.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance (Secret). U.S. citizenship is required.
• Undergraduate knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and/or software system integration.
• Experience with MATLAB or Python scripting for data collection and analysis.

Position: Systems Engineer – Integration & Test (Onsite)
Location: Tewksbury, MA (and/or Andover or Woburn, MA)
Travel: up to 20% required for test events.

What You Will Do

• Support engineering activities related to testing and troubleshooting of hardware and software.
• Analyze real world and test data; conduct trade studies to enhance system features.
• Perform troubleshooting, failure data analysis, root‑cause investigation, and corrective action.
• Support system integration and test, including live fire test events.
• Compile detailed performance evaluations using analysis tools such as MATLAB.
• Support qualification of products and sustainment/repair of depot returns.
• Maintain engineering specifications, drawings, and engineering databases.
• Prepare and present results in reports and briefings to internal or external stakeholders.
• Participate in periodic team meetings, teleconferences, and working groups.

What You Will Learn

After completion of comprehensive on‑the‑job training, you will be an integral part of Systems Engineering, Integration & Test activities across the product development life cycle.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) completed before the start date.
• Experience troubleshooting technical issues using commercial test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.) in an academic or internship setting.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance (Secret). U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Undergraduate level knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and/or software system integration.
• Familiarity with C/C++/C# programming.
• Experience with military platforms such as ships, ground combat systems, or aircraft.
• Experience with MATLAB or Python scripting for data collection and analysis.
• Experience with electrical schematics, interface control documents, and communications protocols.
