• The opportunity to:
  • Be part of the team that leads Principal M&A transactions(e.g., Acquisitions of Smith Barney, E*TRADE, and Eaton Vance)and advises on pivotal strategic growth initiativesdomestically and internationally for Morgan Stanley
  • Gain exposure to Morgan Stanley’s senior leadershipacross all divisions, including Institutional Securities Group (ISG), Wealth Management (WM), and Investment Management (IM)
  • Work on multiple live projects within a small team, allowing you to gain hands‑on experience in strategy and M&A

YOU WILL

• Develop advanced strategic thinking skills and a deep understanding of the global financial services industry, by assisting the team in identifying and evaluating growth opportunities (e.g., new market or product entry), including analyzing market trends, the competitive landscape, business complexities and regulatory constraints
• Learn the fundamentals of M&A, through helping the team evaluate M&A opportunities across the franchise, including screening for potential targets, assessing their strategic fit, and conducting detailed valuation / pro-forma modeling and analyses
