Job description

Launch Your Internship in LA Sports Media

Fall 2026 Internship – LA Sports Report

Time Commitment: Approximately 10-15 hours per week, with flexibility around class schedules

Compensation: Stipend based on quality of work and overall contribution

Duration: August 31, 2026 – December 4, 2026

The Opportunity

This internship isn’t about running errands or filling quotas.

It’s about being in the room – watching how content gets made, how stories develop, and how strategy comes together inside one of LA’s top sports media companies.

You’ll work alongside creators, editors, and business leaders while seeing firsthand how a digital media company operates. You’ll hear real conversations about what’s working, what isn’t, and how decisions are made across editorial, social media, video, partnerships, audience growth, and operations.

At LA Sports Report, we care about how the work gets done – not only the final product. We value preparation, thoughtful decision-making, consistency, and the willingness to learn from every project. Interns are encouraged to ask questions, understand the reasoning behind the work, and develop habits that lead to strong results over time.

As opportunities arise, we’ll invite you to contribute through creative projects, research, production, business operations, or other areas where you can make a meaningful impact while learning.

Our goal isn’t simply to assign tasks. It’s to help you better understand the sports media industry, discover where your strengths fit, and gain experience that extends beyond the classroom.

Don’t take it from us, hear what our latest interns had to say:

  • Live content strategy meetings, video shoots, and social media brainstorms
  • Feedback loops connecting content performance, audience data, and fan reaction
  • The systems and habits that support consistent, successful publishing
  • Exposure to the creative, strategic, and operational sides of a modern sports media company
  • Opportunities to contribute when your skills and the needs of a project align
  • Are currently enrolled at a college or university
  • Are curious about how digital media actually works
  • Want to be around creative energy and absorb everything you can
  • Can take initiative without needing to be micromanaged
  • Have a passion for Los Angeles sports, digital media, or pop culture
  • Are open to giving and receiving thoughtful feedback
  • Communicate clearly, follow through on commitments, and approach your work with professionalism
  • Care about learning the process behind strong work – not simply checking off assignments

Whether you’re interested in journalism, social media, video production, business, marketing, partnerships, or digital content, you’ll leave with a strong understanding of how a sports media company operates and the confidence that comes from working alongside professionals in the industry.
