Job summary

Insight Partners is seeking a Director of Investment Operations to own the design and execution of people programs for Analysts and Associates across deal sourcing and diligence teams. The role sits within the investment organization and drives onboarding, professional development, and staffing execution for 50+ investment team members.

The Director will lead onboarding, curriculum design, coaching, performance management, and staffing decisions, while aligning with Marketing and Investment

• 7+ years of work experience with people management in consulting, investment or software.
• Experience in professional development and talent management; software sales or deal sourcing a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end design and execution of Analyst and Associate programs across the deal sourcing and diligence teams.
• Partner on recruiting strategy and process design for Analyst and Associate roles, including evaluation criteria and intern conversions.
• Own onboarding and the design and execution of a training curriculum for Analysts and Associates.
• Develop and coach Analysts and Associates, tracking skill progression and readiness for advancement.
• Lead performance management for Analysts and Associates, including reviews and feedback processes.
• Provide input on sourcing enablement priorities and content needs with Marketing and Investment leadership.
• Manage day-to-day staffing decisions for the diligence & strategy team balancing development and business needs.
• Own reporting and benchmarks for performance and progression to inform staffing and promotions.

Job description

In partnership with the Senior Vice President of Investment Talent Operations, the Director, Investment Operations owns the design and execution of people programs for Analysts and Associates across the deal sourcing and diligence & strategy teams. Embedded within the investment organization, this role builds and maintains a high-performing talent pipeline by owning onboarding, ongoing professional development, and staffing execution for Analysts and Associates. The Director will have professional development responsibility for more than 50 investment team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end design and execution of Analyst and Associate programs, from entry through post-program outcomes
• Partner on recruiting strategy and process design for Analyst and Associate roles, including evaluation criteria, candidate assessment, and intern conversion decisions
• Own onboarding and the design and execution of a training curriculum for Analysts and Associates
• Develop and coach individual Analysts and Associates, tracking skill progression, career development, and readiness for advancement
• Lead performance management for Analysts and Associates, including regular feedback processes and formal mid-year/end-of-year reviews
• Provide input, in partnership with Marketing and Investment leadership, on sourcing enablement priorities and content needs (e.g., pitch decks, case studies, materials) and sourcing enablement events
• Manage day-to-day staffing decisions for the diligence & strategy team, balancing individual development priorities and business needs
• Own reporting and benchmarks for Analyst and Associate performance, progression, and utilization to inform staffing, development, and promotion decisions, in partnership with Investment leadership
• Provide frontline input into sourcing and diligence technology initiatives, including productivity and AI use cases, based on Analyst and Associate workflows

Qualifications

• 7+ years of work experience, including people management/leadership and experience at a top-tier strategy consulting, investment firm or software company
• Prior experience in professional development and talent management; prior experience in software sales, sales enablement, or deal sourcing a plus
• Excellent communication skills
• Organized and process driven, with strong project management expertise
