AmeriCorps & Senior Corps in Canton, OH is seeking a VISTA to build capacity by mapping community assets and coordinating partnerships. You will develop a centralized resource database, engage employers and education providers, and create standardized procedures to improve service delivery and outcomes.

Project REBUILD in Ohio builds organizational and community capacity to reduce poverty by strengthening pathways to employment, education, workforce training, supportive services, and economic mobility. Through partnerships, resource coordination, community engagement, and sustainable systems, Project REBUILD works to address barriers to opportunity and strengthen long-term participant success.The AmeriCorps VISTA member will conduct community asset mapping and research to identify employers, workforce development organizations, educational institutions, training providers, government agencies, nonprofits, and community resources. The member will develop a centralized resource and partnership database, assess service gaps, and create a Community Asset Map and Community Engagement Plan. Duties will include assessing and strengthening partnership infrastructure; developing standardized partnership procedures, referral processes, communication protocols, databases, dashboards, and reporting tools; and utilizing Microsoft 365 tools to improve organizational systems and resource coordination. The member will develop staff training materials, user guides, and sustainability resources, as well as participant resource directories, pathway maps, data collection tools, and performance measures that strengthen access to employment, education, training, supportive services, and long-term economic mobility.
Member Duties : The VISTA will strengthen Project REBUILD’s organizational capacity by developing sustainable systems for community engagement, partnership management, resource coordination, and participant success. They will research and map community assets: employers, workforce organizations, colleges, training providers, government agencies, nonprofits, service providers, and develop a centralized resource and partnership database. The member will assess service gaps and partnership infrastructure and create standardized procedures, referral processes, communication protocols, dashboards, and reporting tools. The VISTA will improve documentation, workflows, and institutional knowledge. The member will develop training materials, user guides, resource directories, pathway maps, data tools, and sustainability documentation to support long-term use and strengthen pathways to employment, education, training, and economic mobility.
