Responsibilities include delivering lesson plans, maintaining an inclusive classroom, and coordinating with Middle and Upper School leadership to ensure continuity of learning.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Education or related discipline.
• Experience teaching or working with Middle School (grades 6–8) and/or Upper School (grades 9–12).
• Proven ability to connect with students, families, and colleagues across diverse backgrounds.
• Flexibility to cover core academic subjects (Humanities, STEM, Languages) as assigned.

• Implement lesson plans provided by the primary teacher; adapt content thoughtfully to foster experiential and interdisciplinary learning
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment that encourages critical thinking and active student engagement
• Support Athenian’s core pillars and participate in daily community life, activities, and campus routines as needed
• Work seamlessly with Middle and Upper School leadership, faculty, and administrative staff to ensure continuity of learning

Status: On-Call / As Needed

Compensation: $45.00 per class

Core Qualifications

• Experience: Background teaching or working with Middle School (grades 6–8) and/or Upper School (grades 9–12) students
• Cultural Competency: Proven ability to connect and work effectively with students, families, and colleagues across a wide range of identities, backgrounds, and experiences
• Subject Versatility: Flexibility to cover core academic subjects (e.g., Humanities, STEM, Languages) as assigned
