Responsibilities
  • Administers developmental testing programs and/or subject‑specific assessments to evaluate student competency
  • Advises parents and legal guardians on student progress and development of improvement strategies
  • Assesses student progress toward objectives and provides feedback to students, parents, and administration
  • Collaborates with instructional staff, parents, and community resources to improve student outcomes
  • Counsels students to improve performance, health, problem‑solving skills, and personal issues
  • Demonstrates pedagogical approaches that engage learners and address individual requirements
  • Differentiates classroom work to meet individualized learning needs within established lesson plans
  • Directs assistant teachers, instructional assistants, volunteers, and student workers to support effective classroom programs
  • Facilitates student learning to achieve success in academics, interpersonal skills, and daily living through defined lesson plans
  • Instructs students to improve academic success through a defined course of study
  • Manages student behavior to promote a safe and optimal learning environment

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a job‑related area

Work Environment
