Paradise Valley Unified School District is hiring for the Campus Support position at Shea Middle School. This 9-month role will involve providing safety and welfare support to students, monitoring compliance, and assisting with various duties across campus. Ideal candidates should have a high school diploma and possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.
The role has a flexible schedule with part-time hours (1.5 to 1.75 hrs/day) and a pay of $15.15/hour. The position focuses on ensuring a safe and positive learning environment for all students.

Grade 10, $15.15/hour
Schedule: 1.5 hrs/day and 1.75 hrs/day (2 positions available)
Non‑Interim Position
The job of Campus Support is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional process with specific responsibilities for ensuring safety and welfare of students in a variety of support service areas including noon duty coverage, AM/PM duty coverage, classroom assistance, crosswalk coverage, and other areas as needed on campus. This job reports to Building Administrator.
Skills: required to perform multiple tasks with a need to occasionally upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: adhering to safety practices; enforcing rules and regulations.
Knowledge: required to perform basic math; understand written procedures, write routine documents, and speak clearly; and understand complex, multi‑step written and oral instructions. Specific knowledge based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: safety practices and procedures; traffic laws.
Ability: required to schedule activities; collate data; and use basic, job‑related equipment. Flexibility is required to work with others in a variety of circumstances; work with data utilizing specific, defined processes; and operate equipment using defined methods. Ability is also required to work with a wide diversity of individuals; work with specific, job‑related data; and utilize specific, job‑related equipment. Problem‑solving is required to identify issues and create action plans. Problem‑solving with data requires following prescribed guidelines; and problem‑solving with equipment is limited to moderate. Specific ability based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: displaying tact and courtesy; being attentive to detail; maintaining confidentiality.
Responsibilities include: working under direct supervision using standardized routines; providing information and/or advising others; There is a continual opportunity to impact the organization’s services.
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 40% sitting, 30% walking, and 30% standing. The job is performed under temperature extremes and under conditions with exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.
Job related experience is desired.
