The Patricia A. Chin School of Nursing is seeking part‑time faculty lecturers for the 2026-2027 academic year. Positions will be filled as needed for each semester.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing or an appropriate specialty, from an accredited university (master’s required for undergraduate courses; doctoral or master’s with substantial teaching experience required for graduate courses).
• Unrestricted California registered nurse license.
• Professional experience in the clinical specialty area.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level.
• Ability to relate well in a multiethnic, multicultural environment.
• Proficiency in written and oral English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with diverse populations.
• Active Board‑certified Nurse Practitioner certification (e.g., AANPCRT or ANCC).

Duties

• Instruction of undergraduate or graduate clinical courses (skills lab & simulation, fundamental nursing, medical‑surgical nursing, maternal‑child nursing, psychiatric mental health nursing, pediatric nursing, gerontological nursing, community health, pharmacology, pathophysiology, nurse leadership, advanced practice nursing, research, informatics, thesis/projects).
• Class preparation, grading, and office hours.
• Additional duties as assigned by the Department Chair.

Salary

• Lecturer A/2 – $5,507 – $6,677 per month
• Lecturer B/3 – $6,221 – $13,224 per month
• Lecturer C/4 – $6,825 – $14,523 per month
• Lecturer D/5 – $8,593 – $15,211 per month

Initial salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience; most hires are at Lecturer A or B rank.
